My home for the last five years has no outside space – no private outside space that is.
I can’t believe I’ve spent the last nine years in London without a garden – so no barbeques!
The rental market in Brighton seems to have been extremely quiet since the beginning of the year. Normally things get busier at the months move into spring, but it simply has not happened.
My wife and I have become Rightmove junkies since New Year’s Day – and incidentally it beats the socks off all the other sites.
It’s funny that most estate agents are honest enough to admit the market is quiet, but you get one or two delusional ones who simply have to lie, and tell you that they are actually "extremely busy". Then you go to their website and see they have added one new property in a week.

Back to barbeques – the vision in my mind is being down in Brighton in time for the summer and having lots of barbeques – something to keep me going through the months of searching.
We originally aimed to be done with our search and moved by end of March – but we’re now into April. If this continues for much longer I think we will take any old shack – as long as it has a garden and I can get my meats marinating in the fridge for that first barbeque!
