Found some interesting Brighton iPhone applications – mostly free.
National Rail – this is great for checking the live departure boards before getting to the train station. I hate running for trains so it will be great to know in advance when the next train is leaving.
Walk Brighton – nice free application with offline maps of Brighton. It’s got legends for nightlife, shops etc as well as names of each of the neighbourhoods, which will help me get to know the place a bit.
Brighton Buses – I think Brighton is the only town in the UK (the world?) with a live bus departure board app for iPhone
AroundMe Brighton – haven’t used this one yet but thought I should mention it. Free app from Brighton and Hove City Council on places of interest, tourist attractions and other features around Brighton. Great for tourists and newcomers like me if the description is anything to go by – and it’s got a 5 star rating in the iTunes store which is very rare indeed.
